Community Solar
In the short term, Frederick County can work to create help facilitate community solar agreements, and assist in coordinating and reducing the bureaucracy associated with community projects. We need much more solar energy in Frederick County. If Frederick County had interconnected community electrical grids, our communities could charge for the electricity transmitted across each grid, serve the energy hungry neighbors on our borders, and avoid large transmission line projects that are currently being proposed.Investing in energy generation has an immediate return on investment, immediately increases electricity affordability, and sets the county up for prosperity in the future.
Community Fiber Internet
Internet access has long since stopped being a luxury, and has become a necessity. Many government services are only avaliable on line, and our county government only provides public notice on line.Internet access is mandatory to participate in civics, yet our government does nothing to facilitate the connection of all of our residents to the Internet.Community and municipal fiber Internet has been shown worldwide to be more affordable and reliable to the people it serves, and Frederick County's community fiber Internet will carry forth that legacy.
Universal Transit
Our entire county should be accessible by public transit. I will never stop working towards making that a reality.
